Homemade Applesauce
Homemade Applesauce
- 6-7 apples, mixed variety is best
- 1 cup liquid, water or use apple cider for more flavor
- Cinnamon to taste
- Sugar to taste
Peel and chop apples into roughly 1-inch pieces. Place in a large pot with 1 cup of liquid. Turn on medium heat and let simmer for 15-20 minutes, until apples are beginning to break down and soften. Use a potato masher and mash up the apple chunks. You can mash them as much or as little as desired. Add cinnamon and sugar to taste.
