Glazed Cinnamon Apples 

  • 6 large semi tart Triple B apples
  • 2 Tbsps lemon juice
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsps all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 6 Tbsps butter, melted
  • Vanilla ice cream

Peel, core and cut each apple into 8 wedges; transfer to 3-qt. slow cooker.  Drizzle with lemon juice.  Combine the sugars, flour, cinnamon and nutmeg; sprinkle over apples.  Drizzle with butter.  Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours or until apples are tender.  Serve in dessert dishes with ice cream.  7 servings.
